CCA is hosting a producer webinar on the Beef Cattle Code of Practice on Monday, April 13 to help producers prepare for the public comment period.In this webinar we will offer guidance and support to producers on how to participate in the 60-day Public Comment Period opening on April 13. How do you handle sharps on your operation?Agricultural sharps—like needles, Medi-Darts, glass syringes, medication bottles and scalpels—are essential tools for animal health. But disposing of them safely can come with hidden costs and challenges.Students from the Bachelor of Applied Science – Agribusiness program at Olds College, in collaboration with VBP+, are working to better understand the real costs and practices of sharps disposal on Canadian livestock operations.Right now, there’s very little consolidated data on what producers actually experience.
